Bathroom Vanities
Center Of Attention
I am writing this from my kitchen table still trying to figure out what to write about. My first blog post EVER. When I embarked on the journey of running my own interior design firm I didn't realize how many components there are to explore. Apparently, having a blog sharing your accomplishments and love for interior design is an important one. So here I go.
I am so excited to reveal not one, not two, but three gorgeous girl’s bathrooms. While these bathrooms were technically designed for young girls, I strived to create spaces they could fall in love with all over again as they grow into adults.
Before beginning any design project I need an inspiration. I wanted the vanities to stand out - not just with color, but with unique shape as well. The organic contours and scalloped base of this wicker console table was just what I needed to feel inspired.
Vanity areas are very compact spaces especially in secondary bathrooms. However, there are so many elements to consider. From the color scheme to countertops, down to the knobs and pulls, every detail needs to play well together.
One of the biggest challenges during this custom bathrooms remodel was capturing the unique personalities of my young clients, while still creating spaces that are cohesive and belong in the same house.
The elements that create these designs are playful yet sophisticated. The versatility of colors, patterns and finishes elevate the bathrooms from more than a space of daily routines, to a space you want to show off at your next party.
Vanity areas are a wonderful opportunity to step out of the “same old, same old” look and be a trend-setter. Be bold be fun, because we look better when we are surrounded by beauty.
